Following a comprehensive analysis of the physical skills required for Underground Miner, Surface Miner, and Mineral Processing Operator Tech occupations, MiHR has produced 34 detailed physical demands reports.

If you are a HR Manager or a Health and Safety Officer you can use these reports to:

  1. Understand the true physical nature of these roles
  2. Meet your companies human resource demands by increasing and making best use of all potential sources of supply including women, mature workers and persons with disabilities
  3. Assist in returning injured employees to work and to identify which jobs have a high potential to produce discomfort and/or injury to employees (Early and Safe Return to Work)
  4. Determine compatibility between a worker and a specific job (Post Offer Testing)
  5. Assist with recognition of highly physical jobs and ones that have a potential to cause injury (Job Matching)
  6. Assist employers to accommodate workers with permanent medical restrictions
